Privacy Policy

outpage.io — Last updated: 21 Sept 2025

At outpage.io, we respect your privacy. This page explains what data we collect, how we use it, and what choices you have. We keep it simple: only the data we need to run the service, nothing more.

1. Information We Collect

  • Account Data: your email (via magic link) or email, name, and profile picture (via Google sign-in).
  • Authentication: cookies and tokens to keep you logged in.
  • Payments: subscription and billing details handled by Stripe (we never see full card numbers).
  • Usage: subscription status, credits, and prompts you send to AI models.
  • Files: any files you upload (e.g. images) are hosted securely by our storage provider.
  • Technical: like most web services, we automatically collect some technical details (such as IP address or browser type) for security and analytics.

2. How We Use Data

  • To run and improve outpage.io,
  • To process payments and manage your plan,
  • To authenticate accounts and prevent abuse,
  • To send service-related messages (no spam),
  • To track usage (via analytics) so we can make the product better.

3. Sharing of Data

We don’t sell your data. We only share it with trusted providers who help run the service:

  • Stripe (payments)
  • Postmark (emails)
  • DigitalOcean Spaces (file hosting)
  • OpenRouter (AI processing)
  • PostHog (analytics)

We may also share data if the law requires it.

4. Data Retention

We keep data only as long as needed for the service or to comply with legal obligations. You can request account deletion anytime (some billing info may need to be kept by law).

5. User Websites

Websites created on outpage.io are your responsibility:

  • They can be published on preview links, outpage.app subdomains, or custom domains.
  • If you collect data from visitors (forms, cookies, analytics), you are the controller of that data.
  • You must provide your own privacy/cookie policy for your website if required by law.

6. Analytics

We use PostHog and internal event tracking to see how outpage.io is used. This helps us fix bugs and improve the experience.

7. Your Rights (GDPR / EEA users)

If you’re in the EU/EEA, you have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your data. Contact us at hi@outpage.io if you want to exercise these rights.

8. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your data, but no online service can be 100% secure.
